January Sunday Worship Schedule January
brings the new calendar year, but we are already into the third Church
Season in the Liturgical Year, Epiphany.
This time of the year celebrates the “in-breaking” of God into
our world in the person of Jesus Christ.
We will begin by remembering the Naming of Jesus in the 1/1: The Holy Name of Jesus After
eight days had passed, it was time to circumcise the child; and he was
called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the
womb.
-Luke 2:21 On this New Year’s Day, we will celebrate both The Holy Name of Jesus,
for this is the eighth day after His Nativity, and also the Epiphany of
Our Lord, which is observed on January 6th. Thus,
our choir anthem has an Epiphany ring, Follow
That Star, and our communion piece is The
Cold Night Is Quiet. We
will also ask God’s blessing upon us as together we will enter into a
